The streets of Paris are often covered in water, which flows down the roads like tiny rivers. The water originates from holes that line the streets along the outer edge of the sidewalks and are covered by cast-iron plates that can be opened and locked with special keys. Numbering around 13,000 in total, they are designed as a way to efficiently get rid of any litter which may fill the city’s streets. These outlets are meant to only be used by street cleaners, yet every day they are opened and closed by anonymous people, creating vast outpourings without any system or order. Despite numerous complaints, the culprits behind Paris’ street streams remain largely unknown.

In this audiovisual work, sculpture-like performers covered in clay react to sound impulses. As the sound unfolds, the performers’ movements unravel a wide range of emotional transformations. The work shows how human movements and reactions are unpredictable and fickle, emphasizing our inherently erratic nature. 666+ dissects the act of flag desecration, an action which is illegal in many countries. As a symbol, a national flag embodies the ideas and beliefs of a nation, representing a specific system associated with that state. The video is slowed down to 666 frames and the photo series consists of 666 prints, with each picture and each frame showing a unique moment. 666 is commonly referred to as "the number of the beast" and is often associated with the devil. The name thus suggests how the act of flag mutilation has become on par with ‘the devil’s work’, emphasizing the strong symbolic value flags have come to hold. The mutilation of a flag is often done in order to make a political point. Thus, as we watch the decomposition of the burning flag, we are faced with the pareidolia of an individual mind as well as the concept of collective ideas and beliefs.

Crawling through a forest, a man faces the struggle between his primal being and his society-shaped character. Lying on the leaf-covered ground, his bare existence is juxtaposed with the forest’s calm self, which stands indifferent to the hysteria that is playing out at its feet. In the comparison, the man’s lifespan becomes a mere banality in the forest’s own reality; a fleeting second in an eternity of time.

The video stars a Berlin building during the lockdown and offers a glimpse into how our daily routines have been disrupted and reshaped by the imposed covid restrictions. Our isolation from our usual surroundings can be likened to microorganisms, like cells and molecules forced to separate, thus destroying the larger entity we have built together. When we look in through the windows, we are offered a glance at how these single organisms are behaving in their new, isolated situations, yet also showing how they adapt to a new rhythm

Somewhere a room exists, where the essence of existence is the maximisation of production. Here, the individual consciousness has been erased and the ‘me’ holds no meaning; a post-burn out space, where questioning has no place and individual value is a foreign term. As a result of the erasure of individuality, disturbance is minimal and everything passes smoothly through the inhabitants' acceptance of the order. But crackling from the effect of the human factor, people fall victim to epiphanies, reaching a breaking point with the abrupt realization of their reality. The sudden awareness leaves each with a loss of purpose and meaning, causing a breaking point. In a desperate, final bid for change, each of the inhabitants gives into a transformation. But the transformation is the same for them all, making their mutation simply an extension of the machinery they attempted to escape.
